Spellbound Shelf (also called My SpellBound Shelf) is a free personal book tracker and digital library app. It helps you organize books you own, want, are reading, and collect, plus series, editions, reading goals, and book clubs, in one place.
Is Spellbound Shelf free?
Yes. Every feature in Spellbound Shelf is free and there are no ads. If you want to support the app, Spellbinder is an optional monthly or yearly subscription on Google Play with extra themes and a badge. It never unlocks features. Download it on Google Play or use the web app in your browser.
Is there an Android app?
Yes. Download Spellbound Shelf on Google Play for the full Android experience, including ISBN barcode scanning and home-screen reading widgets. The web app remains available on desktop and iOS browsers.
Can I use it on iPhone or desktop?
Yes. Open Spellbound Shelf in your browser on iOS or desktop. Android is the recommended experience for scanning and widgets; the browser version keeps your library available wherever you prefer.
How do I install it on my iPhone or iPad?
There's no App Store version, but you can add Spellbound Shelf to your Home Screen from the browser and it opens full screen, like an app. In Safari, open myspellboundshelf.com, tap the Share button (on newer iOS versions it sits under the ••• menu), choose Add to Home Screen, leave Open as Web App switched on and tap Add. Chrome and Edge on iOS have the same option in their Share menu. Log in once inside the installed app, since it keeps its own sign-in separate from Safari. Home-screen reading widgets are Android only.
Can I track book editions?
Yes. Track paperback, hardcover, special editions, deluxe editions, and alternate covers for the same title.
Can I use it as a TBR or wishlist?
Yes. Save books you want to read, buy, borrow, or collect, and keep them separate from books you already own.
Can I show what I’m reading on my stream?
Yes. Settings › Stream overlay gives you a private link to add to OBS or Streamlabs as a Browser Source. It shows the book you’re reading now on Twitch, YouTube or Kick, with the cover, your progress and your @, and it updates when you log pages. You choose the layout, colours, fonts and size, and it can flip over to show your shelf stats. A Twitch panel for under your stream is coming soon.
Is it only for fantasy or romance readers?
No. Spellbound Shelf is for every reader: fiction, non-fiction, manga, classics, academic books, and special editions, not one genre.
How can I support Spellbound Shelf?
